Sami Khan (writer/director)

Sami Khan is a New York City-based director who has worked around the world. His work has been supported by the Tribeca Film Institute, the Toronto International Film Festival and the Berlinale. His latest project is a documentary following the lives of four young Cuban baseball defectors who left their families behind in Cuba to chase their dreams and a chance at Major League stardom. KHOYA, Sami’s feature debut as writer-director, premiered at the 2015 Mumbai Film Festival and was selected for the Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access fellowship in 2013. 

Rupak Ginn (lead actor)

Rupak Ginn's acting career began his final year at Harvard University when director Mira Nair cast him in a supporting role in THE NAMESAKE. He currently stars in the feature film KHOYA and as Raj for eight seasons on USA Network's hit TV series ROYAL PAINS. His additional film work includes Sony Screen Gems' FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, Fox Searchlight's JUST WRIGHT, and THE CHEETAH GIRLS: ONE WORLD, Disney's first Indian production. On television he has additionally guest starred on ABC's "Private Practice" and CBS's "Unforgettable" and "Person of Interest." Rupak is also a board member of the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA).

Karen Shaw (producer)

In addition to the feature film KHOYA, Shaw’s upcoming projects include XX:THE BOX, a female-driven horror anthology to be distributed by Magnolia, the adaptation of Stacey May Fowles’ novel INFIDELITY, and award-winning writer Margaret Atwood’s acclaimed debut novel THE EDIBLE WOMAN.  She is currently in development with a major Canadian broadcaster on the kids live action series entitled THE NEXT SUPERGEEK. 

Guneet Monga (exec producer)

Guneet produced THE LUNCHBOX which recently became one of the highest grossing Indian films ever at the US Box Office. She also produced GANGS OF WASSEYPUR and PEDDLERS (Cannes and Toronto 2012) as well as co-producing Michael Winterbottom’s TRISHNA (Tribeca 2012). Most recently she was one of Hollywood Reporter’s Top Ten Female Producers to Watch. 

Daniel Ledwell & Jenn Grant (composers)

Jenn Grant is a three time Juno nominee, Polaris long listed and ECMA winner, now living in Nova Scotia, Canada. Most recently, Grant took home the ‘Solo Recording of the Year ‘award at the 2016 East Coast Music Association for her two time Juno nominated album ‘Compostela’. Grant has been touring the world over with this latest release, selling out shows across Canada, Australia, Ireland, The UK and into the United States. Radio 2 Host of ‘Drive’ on CBC in Canada ‘aka Buck 65’ calls her ‘One of the greatest singers in the world right now’.

This Canadian songstress now resides in Lake Echo, Nova Scotia, with her husband and producer Daniel Ledwell.

Daniel Ledwell is a Canadian based record producer and multi-instrumentalist. Working out of his modest studio in Lake Echo, Nova Scotia, Daniel Ledwell’s productions far surpass their humble origins. Two of his 2015 releases (Jenn Grant’s Compostela & Fortunate Ones’ The Bliss) garnered Juno Award nominations. 2016 will be an exciting year with upcoming releases from Juno Award winner Justin Rutledge, Australian wunderkins Oh Pep!, ARIA (Australia Recording Industry Association) award winner Mama Kin, as well as buzz worthy East Coasters Dana Beeler and Dylan Menzie. 

Ledwell is known for his lush sense of production and adding layers of unmistakable richness; creating a colorful tapestry which only ads unique depth to the songs and highlights the very best of each artist. Each project is treated carefully, and each artist represented to his or her highest potential. When he’s not busy making records, Ledwell has been seen adding his sonic landscapes to touring artists such as Kathleen Edwards, The Weakerthans, Jenn Grant, Jim Bryson and more.
